This is the adjustment you will need to make if you want a photograph or image to be placed in the background of a web page, but in pastel tones so that the background does not interfere with the text.

Click on the Colors menu

Click on Adjust

Click on Brightness/Contrast

Increase the value in the Brightness box until the sample on the right hand side of the pop-up screen has the necessary brightness.

Then click on OK.

If you make a mistake you can Reset the original settings by clicking on the Reset button to the bottom right of the pop-up screen.
